WHAT IS ASLANDO?
Aslando literally means “The Way of the Lion” (Do = Way), representing the strongest land animal. Technically, it’s not just a Turkish martial art requiring foot or hand dexterity, but an art that teaches everything necessary, including techniques different from other martial arts. Aslando is especially taught to security forces and special operations units.
In Aslando, 50% kicks and 50% punches are used. By using logic based on intelligent thinking and eliminating unnecessary elements from the mind, Aslando has naturally become a realistic, fast, practical, and effective martial art. As a system, Aslando consists of principles, not monotonous movements. An Aslando student learns not to use unnecessary force, not to stand in the way of their opponent’s strength, to use the force applied to them to their advantage, to fight not just one person but many simultaneously, and to be fluid and relaxed.

WHO IS THE FOUNDER OF ASLANDO?
Mikail Ali Çetiner was born in Austria in 1979. He is the third child of a family of Turkmen origin, whose grandfather settled in Tepe village (formerly known as Türkmen village) in Kaman district of Kırşehir approximately 180 years ago. After completing his primary and secondary education in Baden, Austria, he finished his engineering studies.
In 1983, encouraged by his family, he took his first steps into the world of sports by training in the Korean martial arts Taekwondo/Hapkido. Even at the age of four, his activity, dynamism, speed, and determination were foreshadowing his potential to become a successful athlete. To further develop and strengthen their son’s talents, his parents enrolled him in a Japanese martial arts Karate/Aikido school in the same region in 1985.
